It is understood that Hi-A811 is Hannix's first public disclosure of an image sensor with more than 100 million pixels, and its number of pixels has more than doubled compared with the 50 million pixel product developed by the company last year.

SK Hynix ranked seventh in the global image sensor market in 2020, with a share of only 2%. Earlier this year, mobile manufacturer Samsung Electronics' A23 5G model phone used a 50-megapixel image sensor from SK Hynix.

At present, the market for image sensors is expanding rapidly, as cameras are also installed in mobile devices and various home appliances in addition to smartphones.

In addition, Samsung Electronics launched the world's first 100-megapixel image sensor last year and another 200-megapixel image sensor this year, and its competition with Sony has become more intense.
